Originally from Abilene, TX, Dr. Grubbs attended medical school at the University of Texas and completed his plastic surgery residency the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He came to Blacksburg and established practice in 1994. He practiced as Plastic Surgery of Virginia for 25 years before joining Carilion Clinic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2019. Dr. Grubbs currently resides in the New River Valley, and enjoys traveling with his wife Robin, bicycling, tennis, and snow skiing.
