Born in Venezuela, Dr. Jaime Perez moved to the United States when he was seventeen years old to attend college at Kean University in New Jersey. After receiving his B.S. in Biology, Dr. Perez attended New Jersey Medical School, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Perez then completed five years of general surgery training before completing his fellowship training in plastic surgery at Rutger University. There, he trained with some of the most well-respected plastic surgeons in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Perez came to Florida in 1999 to do an extra year of specialized training in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Perez has been in private practice in Tampa, Florida since 2000. He opened his new office and operating suite, the Plastic Surgery Center of Tampa, in 2008 and currently runs a thriving practice specializing in all areas of cosmetic surgery, with a career spanning over 30 years. With so many years of experience, he understands the importance of approaching each patient as a unique case with the goal of helping them achieve their ultimate goals. He also stays abreast of the latest techniques and technologies in the field of plastic surgery to offer patients the best possible results.
