Frequently Asked Questions about Silhouette InstaLift®
Ask a question-
How does Silhouette InstaLift® work?
Using a double-action effect, the procedure effectively adds skin smoothing and toning as well as definition to the face. The insertion of the sutures immediately repositions the tissue and stimulates the regeneration of collagen that will continue for many months. Gentle pressure is applied to the treated area to reshape the contours of your face.
-
How long does silhouette lift last?
The results typically last for between 18 months and two years, depending on a number of factors. To get the best results from your threads, you can make lifestyle changes such as wearing sunscreen, avoiding smoking and excessive drinking and following a balanced, healthy diet.
-
Who is a good candidate for Silhouette InstaLift®?
The procedure, also called Silhouette Soft, is recommended for men and women who want to correct sagging skin and loss of volume but aren’t ready for surgery.
-
What are the threads made from?
Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA) is the primary material used in the threads. It has a well-established safety record with many biomedical and pharmaceutical applications because it offers excellent biocompatibility and is biodegradable.
-
What makes the Silhouette InstaLift® threads unique?
There are small cones on the sutures that provides traction and fixation points which then stimulates the production and build-up of collagen.
-
Is the procedure safe?
The procedure has been developed after six years of research. With more than 150,000 treatments carried out around the world, Silhouette InstaLift® has been proved to be a safe, effective treatment to reverse some of the signs of aging.

I had a lower facelift on June 16, 2015. I just finished my 3rd follow up on Sept. 29, 2015 after the swelling had gone down. On the second follow up I told Dr. Lo that I was not happy because it made me look older and the jowel lines looked worse. He told me to let the swelling go down and come back in about a month. I was there on Sept. 29, 2015 and said I would like to have it fixed. He told me he couldn't and that I needed fillers. He also said--"I am pretty sure I tell all my patients that I can make things look about 70% better." I am pretty sure he did not say that to me and if he did I would not have done the lower facelift for $7500 for 70% better. Other things to note--after it was done I was told to come in the back door for a follow up and it was hot and no one answered the door. The you are put in a back room where it is also hot and are waiting to see him. At one time, I asked for a new facial support because the one I had was bloody and sweaty--he told me to wash the one I had. After my follow up on Sept. 29, I was told I need fillers because he could not fix what is--he said he would do the first fillers and I then would have to pay after that. To my understanding the fillers are around $1000 and need to be done twice a year. That's another $2000 a year after paying $7500. This is a scam and needless to say I am most upset with his terrible work. My next step is to find someone that might help me fix the damage that is done and pursue a lawyer. I do not want this to happen to anyone else and this is why I am writing this review.
