Dr. Nykiel spent considerable hours in cosmetic breast surgery. During this time of his ASAPS endorsed Cosmetic sub-specialty fellowship, Dr. Nykiel relied on many techniques and principles he learned at Stanford University when he performed complex reconstructive breast surgery. This allowed him to draw parallels in treatment algorithms and develop treatments for a sub-set of patients he refers to as “cosmetic-reconstruction patients”. These sub-set of patients are individuals requiring difficult cosmetic breast surgical revisions, rare and/or unique cosmetic breast cases.

Finally, Dr. Nykiel dedicated significant time during his ASAPS endorsed Aesthetic & Cosmetic Fellowship to learn the delicate finesse required to achieve a naturally and harmoniously balanced result in Facial Aesthetic Surgery (i.e. Face-Lift, Eye-Lift, Rhinoplasty, Fat Grafting to the Face). At the time of his training, there were 7 different surgeons at the Plastic Surgery Center in Sacramento. The large number of surgeons allowed Dr. Nykiel unique ability to observe the different techniques and subtleties employed by the various facial aesthetic/cosmetic surgeons.Dr. Nykiel also recognized the importance and adjuncts with facial non-invasive procedures: fillers (i.e. Restylane, Juvaderm etc), neuromodulators (i.e. Botox, Dysport etc), and lasers. The diversity empowered Dr. Nykiel to refine his arsenal of techniques for standard primary facial surgery to complex secondary surgery and even difficult revision Facial Aesthetic & Cosmetic cases.
