Profile of Claude Hawkins, Dr

Claude Hawkins, M.D., M.B.A., is a board-certified plastic surgeon who retired from the US Air Force as a Colonel after 21 years of service which included two tours in Afghanistan. He finished his Air Force career in Hampton Roads serving for 3 years as Chief of Surgery at USAF Hospital Langley. After earning his medical degree from the Uniformed University of the Health Sciences, Dr. Hawkins completed a General Surgery Residency at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. He then went on to complete a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He obtained additional fellowship training in Breast Reconstruction at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Dr. Hawkins also completed an MBA degree at the College of William and Mary.

Dr. Hawkins comes to Sentara after spending 7 years as the sole plastic surgeon for Riverside Health System.
