Profile of James Parker, Dr

Dr. Parker completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He moved back to Kansas where he received his medical degree from The University of Kansas School of Medicine. And completed his General Surgery residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham as well as in the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He returned to the University of Kansas Medical Center where he completed his plastic surgery post-graduate work.

Dr. Parker is on active staff at both Athens Regional Medical Center and in St. Mary’s Hospital. He has served on the Executive Committee and Peer Review Committees at both hospitals. He also served as President of the American Cancer Society, Athens Chapter. Dr. Parker is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons .
