Profile of G. Peter Fakhre, Dr
Dr. Fakhre, pronounced fack-ree, is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who has worked with some of the most respected cosmetic plastic surgeons in the country. He is one of only a small number of plastic surgeons in the Tampa Bay area to be double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Fakhre is best known for his technical skill, eye for beauty and his aesthetic treatments of the face, breasts and body.
Dr. Fakhre attended the University of South Florida for his undergraduate studies. There he was a top Biology graduate, graduating Summa Cum Laude and completing both the University and Biology Honors programs. After acceptances to several medical schools, Dr. Fakhre elected to attend the University of Florida College of Medicine. While at the University of Florida, his surgical talent, aesthetic eye and love for plastic surgery were realized.
Dr. Fakhre would go on to complete his surgical training at the world renowned Mayo Clinic. There he excelled, scoring at the 98th percentile in the American Board of Surgery in Training Exam, the highest among all residents in his program. He was involved with numerous publications and research projects which have been presented at more than ten national scientific meetings including the distinguished American Society of Plastic Surgeons. During his surgical training Dr. Fakhre was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Mayo Clinic Medical School and served as Chief Resident in Surgery in his final year of surgical training.
