Profile of Steven Svehlak, Dr

Dr. Steven Svehlak attended the University of Connecticut, where he received a bachelor of science in biology. He received his medical degree at New York Medical College in 1994. While at medical school, he was introduced to many different areas of medicine but ultimately chose surgery.

During his five years in general surgery residency at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, Dr. Svehlak was introduced to the art of plastic surgery. He was immediately intrigued with the field, as he found himself being able to work with patients directly as a plastic surgeon and help them reach the image they desired. He further pursued his ambition and training, and received his specialty training in Plastic Surgery at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
