He has published many articles in peer-review medical and scientific journals and has been invited to give lectures, presentations, and to write chapters in textbooks. Alan Chen, MD, FACS has taught countless number of medical students and surgery residents. Moreover, he donates much of his free time giving lectures to the public about patient safety in plastic surgery.
