Dr. Lopez graduated with an undergraduate degree from UCLA in Biology. She then went on to graduate from UCSF Medical School. She continued her residency at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield. She had acquired extensive surgical training in Cosmetic Surgery over the years and continues to attend conferences and live surgery workshops nationally and internationally. She had published in peer review journals articles pertaining to the Avelar Abdominoplasty procedure and treatment of complications with innovative new procedures.
