Debra M. Kroll, M.D. maintains her private practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, specializing in Oculoplastic Surgery. She is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Her areas of expertise include eyelid and facial rejuvenation utilizing minimally invasive techniques, blepharoplasty (surgical and non-surgical eyelifts), ptosis (drooping of the eyelids) and other eyelid malpositions, eyelid growths, and lacrimal (tearing) and orbital diseases.

Dr. Kroll treats patients and is active on the teaching staff at the world-renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and has been appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. She also has admitting privileges at Northshore LIJ/Lenox Hill Hospital (Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital) and New York University Medical Center. She is originally from the Boston area and completed both her Residency in Ophthalmology and Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at the New England Eye Center/Tufts Medical Center. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine and performed her Internship at the Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Kroll is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). She is one of only 81 women in ASOPRS out of about 550 members worldwide. Additionally, she is a member of the New York State Ophthalmological Society, New York County Medical Society, New England Oculoplastic Society and Women in Ophthalmology–New York Chapter. Dr. Kroll has performed many oculoplastic and reconstructive surgical procedures with the Volunteer Health Program at the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) in Santiago, Dominican Republic, to help the local community. She has also volunteered for the Chernobyl Children’s Project to help those affected by the ongoing impact of the nuclear reactor disaster in the Ukraine in 1986.

She has published numerous articles in various medical journals and has presented at annual meetings of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
