Profile

Dr. Cooper is double board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS).  He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).  Over the course of his career, he has developed a love for aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body.  He particularly enjoys facial rejuvenation, breast enhancement, and body contouring.  Additionally, he finds breast reconstruction for breast cancer patients to be very rewarding.   Dr. Cooper makes compassionate patient care central to his practice.  He finds that careful attention to detail and trusting relationships with his patients produce high patient satisfaction and excellent surgical outcomes.

Outside of his plastic surgical practice, Dr. Cooper enjoys sailing on the Puget Sound, skiing, playing golf, and enjoying time with his wife and two sons.

Dr. Cooper grew up in the Midwest, in Omaha, Nebraska.  As the son of a dedicated physician, Dr. Cooper observed the profoundly positive impact that a doctor could have on his patients and their families.   Additionally, while in high school, he had the unique opportunity to scrub in on surgical cases with some neurosurgeons and general surgeons in Omaha.  During these cases, he realized his love for anatomy and the operating room.  Thus, from a fairly young age, he decided that he would embark on a career in medicine.

I had an extended tummy tuck and breast reduction with Dr. Cooper in January. The results have far exceeded my expectations and I look better than I ever thought possible! Everyone in the office is pleasant, kind, and caring.Having major surgery can scary but I felt completely safe and confident in Dr. Cooper’s hands every step of the way. My only regret is not visiting Dr. Cooper years ago!

I had a breast reduction with Dr. Cooper in September 2023 and have been so pleased with the entire process. The whole team is so kind and compassionate and always took the time to answer any questions I had. The results have been life changing for me.

I had a breast reduction by Dr. Sattler in August of 2022 and could not be happier. The entire process I was incredibly anxious as I had never had surgery before, but Sattler and his team helped me feel as comfortable as I could. A little over a year later I can say I am extremely happy with my results, and I cannot imagine life without my reduction!

Dr Cooper is a great surgeon. Had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast reduction in April 2023. He made sure to explain everything thoroughly. He understood what I wanted in size for my reduction and I felt like I was in good hands. I was well taken care of by his team on surgery day. So far he has been there for each of my follow up appointments to make sure I have been healing well. Everyone at the clinic is very kind and I am so happy I chose them for my surgery. I have a lot of healing yet to go but I know I am in good hands throughout this process.

I had a similar experience to another reviewer where a service/procedure that was offered was denied because it “might leave a scar.” Well no kidding. I needed a small old piercing hole removed above my lip that constantly aches, would get red and sometimes inflamed and never settled. It’s the worst at night after a full day of talking and eating. This is not only incredibly uncomfortable, but unsightly. This procedure normally just takes a small punch biopsy (like a medical hole puncher) and a couple of sutures to remove the tube of scar tissue and take care of - an hour long in office procedure at most. I would much rather have a small scar than this painful hole in my face, but apparently it’s not even worth having that conversation with me, the potential patient. Super appreciate the curt, 2 liner email from the office staff blowing me off after I sent photos and gave all the information - did they think it wouldn’t leave a scar before when I asked them about closing a tiny hole on my face? Why have me go through the trouble? It makes me wonder if the Doctor just didn’t want to waste their time on such a small procedure and keep their consults open for more profitable ones instead. Pure speculation, but I’ll never know because they didn’t even bother to ask. Fortunately I found another highly recommended doctor in downtown Seattle to take care of the procedure for me this week who took the time to explain the pros/cons and risks to me.
