I was recently one of dr.menicks patients, had a really bad dog attack to my nose which caused it to completely fall off. I picked up my nose and they rushed me to the hospital. got it resowed the first night. The skin died and turned black. Tried to get surgery done from a surgeon that didn’t know what he was doing but didn’t want to tell me the trust. So ended up getting a forehead flap done by a surgeon in Minneapolis Minnesota. COMPLETELY messed it up. I wore a bandaid on my nose for a whole year and a half until me and my mom got a second opinion from this other doctor he recommended we go out of state to dr.menick. We flew to Arizona and dr.menick knew what he was doing he had many books of his before and after work and I almost cried I knew I was in good hands. FINALLY. The 2 ladies that work there are the sweetest most caring people you’ll meet. So anyway he told me I needed an expander in my forehead for anyone that does not know what that is. It’s basically a huge bag that goes under my skin to stretch it. Not to mention i got injections to make it bigger every week and ended up looking like I had a huge football in my forehead. Then I had to get another forehead flap and I didn’t have enough skin so that’s why they needed to stretch my skin. Then when I finally got it cut off. I can’t even describe in words how relieved I felt. I finally felt pretty again. It was such a long process but I COULD NOT have done it without him. He’s the sweetest man he’s very caring definitely knows what he’s doing! He has helped so many people that have a very inspiring story. And honestly he became the grandpa I never had. I highly recommend if you’ve gone though something tough like I did to go to him. He has a huge heart for the people that actually have experienced something serious in there life. literally saved my life That’s for sure. I was in a really bad spot and didn’t know what to do anymore. I bet I would be going through a 3rd forehead flap at this point if he never fixed me. I’m so beyond grateful for him. he’s the best thing that happened to me though this tough time. Not to mention I dropped out of school for all of this. So it’s been hard but I only got through it because I trusted him even when it was so so hard for me to. I love that whole entire office and I absolutely recommend him to anyone that needs him.

After several botched attempts by 2 previous surgeons who only seemed interested in seeing patients in turnstyle fashion, I was fortunate in finding Dr. Menick. He, along with his kind, caring and considerate staff, were able to correct the poorly performed procedures done earlier. I sincerely love to smile, and Dr. Menick was able to give me back my smile, which was something I was unable to do comfortably for a long time. Again, I say thank you to Dr. Menick and I only wish that I could give him a lot more than just 5 stars.

I originally went to this doctor for a nose consultation because he had five stars, I just assumed he would be the best because of his ratings. The first thing that threw me off was that they charged me $25 for a consultation that is usually complimentary. The doctor took pictures of me and printed them out and drew with pen on the pictures trying to give me an idea of what he wanted to do. ( I couldn't really see his vision in my head and we were on different pages). I got my quote at the end it was almost $10,000 ( feeling shocked and a little sad because it was a lot more than I had expected) I almost lost hope. My mom convinced me to get a second opinion (I'm SO GLAD SHE DID). I went to a FREE consultation with Dr Jerry Olson, it was beyond amazing! His staff was friendly and beyond helpful with my daughters. He took pictures of me and put them on his computer then with a digital imaging software showed me exactly what he could do for me and my nose! It was beautiful. I got my quote at the end, it was $7,100!!!! I couldn't believe it, all my happiness and excitement came back and I can't wait to proceed with this process. If this is the first doctor you go to I highly recommend you get a second opinion, maybe even a third.

From an Italian patient: March 2017. In October 2015, after a biopsy, my dermatologist in Nottingham, Great Britain, told me that the Basel Cell Carcinomas (BCCs) in my nose had returned. BCCs had been found and surgically removed years ago. The dermatologist's determination was that the BCCs were so extensive this time that my nose must be removed and a new nose reconstructed. He said that the most reputable doctor unanimously considered being the best in the world for nose reconstruction was Dr Frederick Menick in Tucson, Arizona. After having contacted Dr Menick by email I went to Tucson accompanied by my wife. It was late January 2016 and the nasal reconstruction required me to stay in Tucson with the exception of short returns home to Italy, until the beginning of March 2017. My case has been more complicated than expected, requiring extensive surgeries and recuperation time. During our stay in Tucson I personally saw that Dr Menick is with no doubt the best Doctor in the world for many cases, and the only one in the world for conditions such as mine or even worse. In my opinion there is evidence and confirmation of my statement in the new Two Volume Work by Dr Menick: Aesthetic Nasal Reconstruction – Principles and Practice. “Dr Michelangelo” Menick, as I like to call him, is not only the unbelievable “Miracle Doctor” as so very many patients have testified, but he is also a great person, a real “Mensch” as the Germans would say, meaning a person of noble character to admire and emulate. His dedication to his profession and patients is endless. He saw me every day during my stay in Tucson, including Saturdays. I hope that a number of patients will share my idea of a yearly group meeting with him, to remember and express in person our thanks and gratitude for what he did for each of us. A yearly meeting will also give us the opportunity of thanking the kind ladies helping Dr Menick in his daily work: • His charming wife Mrs. Janelle Menick • The Clinic Manager Ms. Rachel Mungaray • The front desk responsible Ms. Tina Pico Oscar Staffoni

Dr. Menick is truly an amazing Plastic Surgeon. In 2014 I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my nose. I had a forehead flap done at that time. My Dr. at the time scheduled a home health nurse to come and change my bandage 2 times a week. On the first visit she cut my flap and of course it was destroyed . My Dr. at the time with the help of another Plastic Surgeon did what they could to get my nose back to normal, 8 surgeries later he finally said he could do no more, but stated he would find someone that could help me. A few months later he told me to contact Dr. Menick, so I did. Dr. Menick preformed a second forehead flap (after having a tissue expander in for 2 months). In July of 2014 my husband and I drove back to Tucson for the surgery. I have had 3 other surgeries since then and had the last surgery on January 31st. I am so pleased with the results, and I know it is only going to get better as times goes by. Dr Menick gave me my confidence back and a reason to smile. My husband and I are truly thankful for what Dr. Menick has done for me. Forever grateful Clete and Tammy Young
