Profile

Dr. Sexton was born, and raised in Richmond, Kentucky. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with "High Distinction" in 1978. His degree was in microbiology. After graduation, he went to medical school at The University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky, graduating in 1982.

Dr. Sexton did his internship at The Medical College of Ohio, in Toledo, Ohio, prior to completing a five year General Surgery Residency in Columbia, S.C. After completing his General Surgery training, Dr. Sexton went back to The University of Kentucky, where he did his Plastic Surgery training, in what many people feel was one of the premier training programs in the country.  

 After completing his surgical training Dr. Sexton moved to Columbia, S.C. where his wife was raised. He started his practice here in 1990, and he has been here since then.

I had a tummy tuck with Dr Sexton in august and when i tell you he is an awesome doctor, he is awesome!! He listened to my concerns . He answered all my questions. He was completely honest ! I love that. His wife and staff was super friendly and made me feel comfortable with every step of the way. I lost my mom in july and had to reschedule. They were very accommodating!!! If you are thinking about getting a tummy tuck Dr Sexton is the best in Columbia sc !! You will be very happy. You will not regret it!

Dr. Sexton did a phenomenal job on my breast augmentation. He was personable, professional, and listened to what I wanted. I loved my results and I plan on going back to him again when I'm ready. Definitely recommend

Professional, caring, and family oriented. That’s how I’d describe this group! Dr. Sexton is the second plastic surgeon I have had do work on me and hands down he is the BEST! I got a breast augmentation and I couldn’t be more happy with my results!! Go see him!!! You won’t regret it!

Dr Sexton is a great plastic surgeon. I felt very comfortable with him from my first visit to my latest follow up. I’m totally satisfied with my breast augmentation and he did exactly what I asked. He was very knowledgeable and confident and I loved that. Would absolutely recommend him.

Dr. Sexton is one amazing surgeon and individual period. I had my tummy tuck done on June 28, 2018 and about a 2 weeks I did develop a hematoma (which no one know it would happen, it probably happen because I was feeling too good and did too much) Regardless, Dr. Sexton answered all my late night calls and even came in to treat the hematoma at 1:30 am. Now you know that's a great surgeon when he gets out his bed to treat his patient. The staff is totally amazing as well. Dr. Sexton made sure I was healing properly and saw me weekly until I got completely healed. I love this surgeon, he is the best. I love my results and will go back if I ever need more work. Thanks Dr. Sexton you are a God sent and I will never be able to thank you enough. Thank you for caring for your patients. I am forever grateful. I have referred to many friends and friends in my tummy tuck support group to see him. :)
