Haruko OkadaDr

Dr. Haruko Okada is a board-certified plastic surgeon and hand surgeon. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with additional Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Okada graduated from Brown University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She completed a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, under the tutelage of world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Bahman Guyuron. Following residency, she pursued additional training at the University of Connecticut Combined Hand Surgery Fellowship under Dr. Kirk Watson.

Dr. Okada created Stratus Plastic Surgery for patients seeking safe, natural and aesthetic results. She credits her interest in people’s diversity to an international upbringing in the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom. One of her greatest accomplishments was creating a successful gender affirmation surgery practice in a hospital setting. She continues and refines this goal in private practice, elevating the patient experience.
