Dr. Joseph Thornton’s education began at Haverford College, with a bachelor’s degree in 1997. He continued his education at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine earning his medical doctorate in 2001.
Dr. Joseph Thornton continued on with six years of extensive plastic surgery training in the residency at Albany Medical Center in New York. Dr. Thornton came to Delaware in 2007 and has been serving Northern and now Southern Delaware as well Cecil county proudly. In 2008, Dr. Joseph Thornton earned his Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of both ASAPS and ASPS and has been named a Delaware “TOP DOC” multiple years.
