Dr. Kim is the only doctor in Brevard County to be board certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Kim was very kind and great bedside manners. His staff were very wonderful. Everyone made feel calm and relaxed. I really recommend them.

May 6, 2024Love this office and Dr. Schmidt is amazing. He took 45 minutes to do a no-fuss extraction, a post, packing and stitching of same. All in one fell swoop. During my last implant it took 4 hours in two sessions and my tongue got tangled in the drill. Two years later, I still have no feeling in one half of my tongue. YES, this was the answer for top-echelon expertise. Wonderful experience.

Apr 9, 2024If you need Oral surgery, feel confident to go to Sunrise Facial and Oral Surgery. Dr. Kim, Paige and all the staff were Professional And so nice. I had been dealing with a problem and talked to many dental offices before making my appointment here. Honestly, this office was the only one where you were treated with A warm caring attitude. From my first visit seeing Dr. Kim and Paige, I was put at ease. I also feel that Paige went The extra mile to make me feel comfortable and that I was in good hands. Thank you to all the office staff.

Mar 8, 2024In January I had a freak accident that resulted in a fractured and slightly displaced jaw. I was able to get in quickly to see Dr. Austin, and from that very first appointment I felt taken care of and that I was in the best hands possible. I was SO relieved that he recommended not doing surgery and letting this injury heal on it's own. He and his staff, (shoutout to Darcie), were so kind during each visit, and I was very impressed that he had me follow up each week during this ordeal. I felt that my care was guided and that he truly cared about my recovery. I was so happy that he kept seeing me despite not actually performing surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Austin and the entire Sunrise Facial and Oral Surgery team! Thanks for everything!! 10 stars!!
