Doctor Gossman has been named by his peers as the top surgeon in cosmetic blepharoplasty in Louisville and has been repeatedly selected as one of the Best Doctors in America since 1996. He was director of the first full time Oculoplastic Surgery Service of the University Of Louisville Department Of Ophthalmology and entered private practice in 2003. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, he lectures on topics of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and has authored numerous scientific articles. Doctor Gossman is a member of the clinical faculty in the University of Louisville’s division of plastic surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, American Medical and Kentucky Medical Associations.

Very rude and unprofessional. I took my mother-in-law there because of an eye tag she has had for 10 years. She does not like to go to doctors so it has taken a lot of time and persuasion to get her there. The first thing Dr. Gossman says when he sees her is, "so your ready to get rid of that nasty thing on you eye?" This upset my wife (who was with her) and my mother-in-law. Dr. Gossman was also very sarcastic with my wife throughout the visit.

Dr. Gossman is a very talented and experienced physician. I was referred to his office by my primary physician. My first appointment I was actually called early and told if I was in the area I could head in. I was in the parking lot and was taken right in for exam. An evaluation was done and I was scheduled for surgery. I could not be more pleased with the results. Not only is my vision much better, my appearance has improved. Dr Gossman is very thorough in the instructions prior to surgery and care afterwards. I am highly recommending Dr Gossman for Ophthalmolgy and Oculoplasty .

I would not recommend this office.I waited for an hour until nurse came in to see me. Nurse was very unprofessional. She was chewing when she first walked in. She never introduced her self. She is very loud and does not care about patient confidentiality. I could hear her asking patient medical related questions in the next room. She keeps the door wide open. Very disorganized. I decided to leave even before doctor came in. Don’t waste your time.

Dr. Gossman is amazing! As an OR Nurse myself, I had knowledge of the “go to guy” for eye surgery. This is all he does, and am so lucky to be one of his patients. Thank you Dr. Doug!

Dr. Gossman is AWESOME! First of all, I tried my best to get him to take my money and do surgery, but he was honest enough to tell me that I did not need it! He also said he did not think that I would be able to tell a difference at this time. I appreciated his honesty more than he could know! He even has the best staff around and an amazing sense of humor that makes you feel like you have known him forever. I cannot say enough good about this man. I will be returning in 5 years to try to give him some money again! lol By the way, my plastic surgeon recommended him! That is the best compliment a physician can have.
