Maida Parkins, M.D., is our practice founder and plastic surgery specialist. With more than a decade of caring for patients, Dr. Parkins understands how difficult it can be to feel confident when you are distracted by a body shape or aged appearance that does not match how you feel internally. 

After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Parkins completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is board certified in plastic surgery and has been practicing for more than a decade. She is an active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Parkins found her way to aesthetic medicine through a summer internship, after completing her master’s degree in biomedical engineering. During this time, she worked on artificial skin substitutes for patients with burn wounds and volunteered in a burn unit. This experience made her realize that she wanted to work directly with patients, not in a lab. Burn is a part of plastic surgery and was her initial interest in medicine.

Dr. Parkins enjoys performing aesthetic surgery because it is extremely rewarding to help patients achieve their goals and watch how it helps them feel like themselves again. She loves to work with patients who want to have surgery and are motivated to take care of themselves afterwards.
