Dr. Ruchman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmic plastic surgeon. A Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Williams College, he received his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency and fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He was one of the original investigators in New England for the use of Botox® in the treatment of facial dystonia. Today, he specializes in treating migraine with Botox®

Apr 14, 2024The doctor was great... The downside - They nickel and dime you!! What they do NOT TELL YOU is they charge you $75.00 to write your eye glass prescription/contacts. It's called "Refraction on the bill which was mailed after I PAID IN FULL/Copay! Shady!

Feb 15, 2024Dr. Scartozi is kind, caring and explains every step of the procedure he is doing. His assistant Heather is great. His receptionist is so sweet. I highly recommend him.

Dec 31, 2023This is a horrible practice. Go anywhere else but here. They were extremely good years ago. Now they are too big and don't care about their patients at all. My elderly mother was going there. She had to travel over an hour in a wheelchair to get to danbury from a nursing home. I needed two appts in same day so as not to be making the trip twice. A very difficult trip for her. Was told they couldn't possibly do that. We had to stop seeing them. No accommodation at all.

Dec 26, 2023I am amazed regarding the service which I received during my unplanned visit to this facility. While working on a project I got something in my eye which caused irritation and pain. After a restless night, I went to CT Eye Consultants on a Saturday morning without an appointment. I was not turned away! They got me checked-in and helped immediately. I was in and out of there within 45 minutes, without an appointment! Thank you Dr. Altman and your team. I will now be coming to you for my annual eye exam.
