I took my 4 year old son in to have his forehead laceration looked at right after the stitches were removed. This Dr recommended spf and maybe scar cream and possibly revision surgery around 16 years old. We consulted two other plastic surgeons and they said definitely scar cream and return for a scar revision in 6 months. If you want to be proactive, I would get multiple opinions.

I was in an accident in July of 2022. My face went through a passenger window and was sliced up and had bits of glass in my cuts. He stitched me up and I thought he had removed all the glass. When I went for my follow up I tried to raise concern about a mass in my cheek. He was more interested in telling me about my face being insignificantly uneven and told me it was scar tissue. He never once touched my face to feel the mass, and chased me down the hall to ask me to leave a Google review. Now over a year later, I've had a small piece of glass come out of my lip, so I went to my doctor about the mass. They removed an absolutely massive piece of glass from the accident and said I was lucky it didn't get infected. Maybe if he had stopped to look at my face as he chased me down the hall he may have realized what it was. Otherwise, the places he did stitch up did end up with minimal if any scarring. Dr. Dormanski and his staff were nice and answered all my questions. However I was confused that right off the bat they told me that the procedure I was pursuing (breast reduction) would not be covered by insurance because of my lack of medical qualifications, he was sure of it. So I got a quote for about $11,000. I went to see a different practice and the doctor there put in documentation to my insurance company right after my consultation and it was cleared. So I ended up only paying about $2,000 for the procedure. I’m just really not sure why that happened during my first visit.
