His extensive facial plastic surgery background includes a prestigious internship and residency at Mayo Clinic and a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Kienstra has been a leader in his community since 2008 and currently serves as Department Chair of Surgical Services at Mercy Hospital.

Dr. Kienstra is a devoted family man. He and his wife reside in Springfield, Missouri and have two beautiful children who they enjoy immensely. “They’re my best work yet,” says Dr. Kienstra. In his free time, Dr. Kienstra enjoys music, travel, and hunting.

I hope Dr. Kienstra reads this. I had a brow lift done in 2017. Since then, I still have numbness around my face, and 2 dents on top of my head. Also, I have lost hair that has never grown back. I was not happy with the results. I believe this procedure is the problem that I have of hair loss and numbness. Since then, I have been miserable. Wish I had known more, before having this done. I did ask questions but, nothing was really clear. It's been 6 years and my cheeks are sagging because he didn't do the face lift like I asked about. Why don't you call me, Dr. Kienstra and I will come in so you can see why I'm unhappy, you have my phone number.

All the staff are so kind. Dr kienstra was amazing he gave me my face back I was at a block in the road with no light at the end of the tunnel, then I saw the Dr. and he was not only willing but was so knowledgeable about my rhinoplasty and septoplasty surgery he did. I had a bad accident and he gave me my face shape back. Thank u sooooo much for allowing me to breathe again threw my nose. You guys are amazing! God bless you and guide you forever.

Everyone is so friendly and nice here and always made sure I was well taken care of after surgery if I had any complications. I am so much happier now that I have had my rhinoplasty. I wanted to keep it as natural as possible and Dr. Kienstra made that possible! Couldn’t be happier!! I got the results I was looking for, for sure! l will be recommending this place to anyone I know looking for a cosmetic surgery wanting to keep that natural look!

At age 36, I had to undergo a pretty intense forehead flap procedure to reconstruct my nose/face after a large amount of skin cancer was removed. Without a doubt, I received the absolute best possible care from Dr. Kienstra and his staff. From the first appointment, I was treated so kindly, and each person thoroughly explained every process, treatment, and question. It was so scary at first when I found out the surgery I needed, and I looked pretty rough for several months (which I knew was coming because everything was explained up front), but now 1.5 years later, it's astounding how well my face has healed. I'm forever grateful to the incredible people in this office for their care.

From the first contact with Dr.Kienstras office I was impressed . The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and more importantly it felt genuine. Dr Kienstra was everything you hope for in a physician...kind, easy going, a lovely sense of fun .. and with his exam and explanations it is apparent he is extremely knowledgeable and I left with complete confidence in Dr. Kienstra and his staff to do this very personal surgery. The day of surgery and every follow up visit assured me that I had made the right and best choice. My results are amazing! my only regret is I didn’t have it done sooner!
