I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful this team is. As a Transwoman, I was drawn to Dr. Afridi due to her natural results and artistic opinion. I wanted someone who was going to help me find the perfect fit for me and not just give in to whatever idea I might have. She surpassed every bar I set. She's above and beyond the best surgeon I have worked with- she made me feel comfortable, valid, and provided wonderful advice followed by incredible results. More than anything, she made me feel like any other woman walking into her office, which is missed so often by doctors working in this community. Dr Afridi is an excellent physician- she is kind and personable. I never once felt rushed out of the office and her work is beautiful. I will not go to another plastic surgeon so long as she is in practice.

Simply put, Dr. Afridi is amazing. It is extraordinarily rare to find a surgeon that is compassionate, technically masterful, and also an artist, yet she is all three of those things. I am so thankful that I met her when I did, as I was scheduled to have my breast augmentation with another doctor in Manhattan who I just did not feel 100% about it. I had been stalking Dr. Afridi’s work for weeks, and finally decided that I should schedule a consultation. I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am that I did; in our first visit, she spent over an hour with me discussing my options and helping me “try on” different sizes. She obviously loves her work and has an eye for detail that was lacking in the other doctors I had consulted with. I felt so comfortable in her care, and I really felt that she understood my desires and concerns regarding breast augmentation. So, after our visit, I canceled my surgery with the other doctor and scheduled with Dr. Afridi. We had one more visit prior to surgery, and I asked her to just use her best judgement with regard to my case while keeping my aesthetics in mind. Surgery was uneventful, recovery was as smooth as can be, and now, roughly six months post-op, I am so happy with my decision to have my breasts done and to have had her as my surgeon. The results looks phenomenal, and I feel so much more comfortable in my body. As a trans woman who lives an athletic lifestyle, I have struggled with feeling feminine enough, and at 6’0”, I always felt that my breasts did not fit the rest of me. I used to spend so much time obsessing over whether my tops looked flattering enough on me, whereas now I feel I can wear anything I want. It is so liberating, and my confidence and self-esteem have never been more solid. I have had several major operations as part of my transition, my parents and sibling are doctors, and I was even in medical school for a time being; for what it’s worth, I think Dr. Afridi is one of the best surgeons I have had the pleasure of meeting, and you would be hard-pressed to find another with a similar combination of social, technical, and artistic skills. She is as good as they come, truly.

Dr. Afridi is the best in her field! She's extremely good at what she does. Her offices are clean and welcoming. She takes time to listen to your concerns and addresses them with understanding and compassion. I recommend her to all my friends and family. Simply the Best!
