Dr. Ricardo Castrellon was born in Panama, but he attended college and medical school in Costa Rica. Upon graduation from medical school, he moved to Miami with his wife, who is a psychiatrist. During his medical school years, Dr. Castrellon developed a passion for plastic surgery. After completion of his general surgery residency in New York, Dr. Castrellon completed fellowships in Trauma/Critical Care and Burns before completing his plastic surgery residency in Indiana. He then moved his family to Miami to begin private practice. His professional interests include aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction and lower extremity reconstruction. Helping others has always been a calling, and he has participated on multiple missions trips to his native Panama where he has cared for children with cleft lip and palate as well as burn victims and has been collaborating with doctors of his native country to set up a burn center there. Besides a busy clinical practice, Dr. Castrellon very much enjoys spending time with his growing family, which now consists of his wife and two young daughters.

I recently went in for a surgery with Dr. Ramiro Perez after getting several opinions from other doctors. I ultimately chose to go with Dr. Perez because of his expertise, and because him and his staff made me feel like part of the family. The receptionist, the surgery coordinator, and every single medical assistant are wonderful. The doctor took his time to explain the full process and I felt very comfortable and confident in my decision. My recovery has been amazing thanks to the care of the doctor and his staff. I am only 3 weeks post surgery and I feel amazing. I would recommend this doctor 100% for his professionalism, expertise, and kindness.

Dr Ramiro Perez was an amazing surgeon. He was super attentive to what it was that I wanted and very clear on what was possible. He also made sure that I was very well informed on the care I would need afterwards and made sure to schedule post-surgery checkups to ensure that everything was healing well. His staff was also very kind and kept me aware of any future checkups I needed through email.

Came to Dr Ramiro Perez, i ABSOLUTELY recommend him ! I had a breast reduction and lift. The scar is absolutely beautiful, clean and thin. He takes his time to make sure everything goes smooth throughout the surgery process, holding my hand from the first appointment to the last. My breast are PERFECT! My 4 year old daughter has met with many dentists, and this office provided by far the best experience. All the staff is great with kids. They were kind, patient, attentive and friendly. Dr. Borges goes the extra step to make kids and parents feel comfortable. My daughter actually wanted to go back to say hi to the staff. Her oral surgery went smoothly and I was made to feel comfortable with the entire process. (He also works with a pediatric anesthesiologist and together they make a great team). Dr. Borges is highly recommended for an oral surgeon, and I strongly wish we went to him first.
