Dr. Robert Setari received his AB degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, one of the 8 Ivy League schools in the USA. He graduated Cum Laude from Penn after which he moved to Washington, DC where he obtained his medical degree from The George Washington University School Of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the USA. Dr. Setari further pursued his clinical training at the world renowned Medstar Washington Hospital Center, one of the top cardiac centers in the world.

He is nationally recognized for his expertise in vascular disorders and was one of 5 international authors of the definitive medical textbook, Vein Diagnosis And Treatment. He has been invited to provide scientific presentations at medical conventions around the world and has been asked to conduct fellowships teaching both clinical and medical management for both national and international physicians.

Founding and supervising 12 high-end Phlebology specialty centers across the United States between 1995 and 2004, he has trained doctors and nurses on proper evaluation and treatment of venous disease across the country. He has served on the education committee of the American College Of Phlebology where he was responsible for both physician and patient educational materials.

He is currently a faculty member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. As a faculty member he lectured at the World Congress of Liposuction in Chicago in September 2019 to hundreds of international doctors on the topic of “Bipolar RFAL and HIFEM Therapies As Adjuncts to Liposuction.”

Dr. Setari was the first physician to perform the SmartLipoTM procedures in Beverly Hills, CA.Subsequently, he developed the famed Setari-Lipo technique. This technique is only known and practiced by the physicians Dr. Setari has personally trained. It takes between 1-1.5 years of training just to learn the technique.

He is the founder and CEO of four cosmetic surgery centers specializing in body contouring all located in Southern California.
