Dr. Rukmini (Vinaya) Rednam, known by her patients as the Confidence Doc®, is an esteemed board-certified plastic surgeon serving the communities of Houston and The Woodlands, TX. Her academic journey began with her acceptance into the prestigious Conley Scholars Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, a baccalaureate-medical program that seamlessly integrated undergraduate and medical education through a competitive selection process.

Dr. Rednam achieved her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with Cum Laude honors from the Honors College. She then embarked on her medical studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine. Excelling academically, Dr. Rednam graduated in the top 25% of her class and secured a spot in the highly sought-after six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Kentucky. Mentored by Dr. Henry C. Vasconez, she was honored with the “Resident Teaching Award” and engaged in numerous research endeavors.

Dr Rednam has been a such a strong, affirming influence in my life for the past few years. After significant weight loss, they tell you that there will be loose skin, but they don’t tell you about the psychological impacts of that. Dr Rednam has changed my life and let me live in a body that I love - I owe so much to her and her team for empowering me to live my life to my fullest. There aren't enough words to say how spectacular Dr. Rednam and her team are. My first interaction was with Cheryl, Dr. Rednam's coordinator, and she was an absolute delight. She was able to work with my partner and I to quickly get us on the schedule for the initial consultation for top surgery. Amazingly, we were able to get the surgery on the books within a month of our consultation. Throughout the entire process, there has always been someone available for a call or text should we ever have questions. Dr. Rednam performed the surgery with spectacular results and without drains, and the healing process has been smooth sailing. If you're looking for a doctor who sincerely cares about their trans clients, look no further! Dr. Rednam is THE BEST!

Dr. Rednam and her staff are amazing. From my very first consultation up until now, my experience with everyone has been great. Impressive bedside manner and follow up. You can tell she loves what she does. Excellent skill/craft. Staff never seemed bothered by my many calls/emails. My neck lift, to get rid of my sagging neck/jaw line, was a bit more expensive than I expected, but it was 100% worth it. NEVER bargain shop for surgery.
