Dr. Samuil D. Rafailov is triple board-certified in general surgery, cosmetic surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rafailov is well-versed in the width and breadth of his surgical fields and believes that spending time with patients before surgery is just as important as spending time operating. Along with his utmost interest in patient education, Dr. Rafailov is also highly interested in minimally invasive surgery, breast enhancement surgery, liposuction, liposculpting, as well as body contouring surgery.

Dr. Rafailov comes from an immigrant family and grew up in Brooklyn, NY, where he earned his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College. He completed his medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and postgraduate training in general surgery at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY. After successfully completing his surgical training, Dr. Rafailov sought additional training in cosmetic surgery through an accredited fellowship in Spokane, WA.

I highly recommend Dr Rafailov. He performed emergency surgery on my Mom. During and after her hospital stay he kept me informed on all aspects of her care. He has gone above and beyond our expectations and we can’t thank him enough for his care and dedication. By far, one of the best!

If there were a 10 star option, that’s what I would give Dr. Rafailov! His kindness, concern and professionalism were beyond appreciated from the moment we met him in the emergency department at Atlantic Health Hackettstown. He expedited my daughter’s testing and quickly shared the results and next steps. She was very sick with an abdominal access and sepsis. He saved my daughter’s life! He and the team of healthcare professionals that were by her side through this very serious and scary situation were fantastic! Her outcome could have been very, very different had she not had Dr. Rafailov leading the team of surgical professionals! Having experience in the medical field, I can personally say that he is a top notch doctor with a bedside manner that’s phenomenal!! Thank you, Dr. Rafailov from my whole heart ! Our experience with Dr. Rafailov was excellent. He was kind, clearly communicated, and really cared. The surgery he performed on my son was life changing. The office personnel were so nice and efficient, too. We would definitely recommend Dr. Rafailov. He is amazing!

Dr. Rafailov and his staff at the office are beyond wonderful, smart, kind human beings! I needed emergency abdominal surgery in November 2023 and was the luckiest girl in the world to have Dr. Rafailov as my surgeon. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for him and his surgical team and I am forever grateful. I have dealt with a multitude of doctors throughout the years and there are very few, if any, who compare to Dr. Rafailov. He spoke to me like a human being, listened to my concerns, kept it lighthearted, and had a way of reassuring me I would be just fine without saying the words. Being exceptional at his craft AND having phenomenal bedside manner/people skills sets him aside from any other surgeon I have met. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rafailov to anyone and everyone. Everyday I still can’t believe the awesome results I’m enjoying from a surgery I had by Dr Rafailov over a year ago! Dr. Rafailov and his staff were professional, informative, attentive and compassionate during the entire process. They meticulously planned my procedure and kept me informed every step of the way. Every question was answered and I never felt rushed. I was so impressed by Dr. Rafailov and his team I recommended him to a family member and coworker, both of whom have had successful procedures by Dr. Rafailov as well!! I’ve also seen some impressive Botox and liposuction results that Dr. Rafailov had performed as well! I trust their medical knowledge and procedures and would highly recommend this amazing team to anyone for cosmetic and general surgery needs.
