Some doctors are in the business of medicine, while Dr. Sunder is in the medicine of healing and helping people look fabulous, which makes you feel better, thus serving a healing function. Her office is very professional and I really felt calm and cared for when I had a scar revised. She was swiftly and thoroughly responsive when I had questions about it, both before and after. I was scared because it looked worse before it looked better and she gave me special products to speed up the healing process. Now it looks so much better!!! I am really glad that I went to her because another surgeon actually didn't think it could be improved. Dr. Sunder is very skilled and it looks much better! Totally worth it in the end!

I am in my late 60’s and decided that I wanted a neck and lower face lift with fat transfer. I definitely wanted a “natural-looking” enhancement, NOT an overly tight “overdone” look. So I needed to find a surgeon who I could trust to give me the results I wanted and be understanding and supportive of me through the process. I searched through internet sites, talked with friends and consulted with several surgeons until I found the surgeon that was absolutely right for me - Dr Sarmela Sunder. She has ALL the qualities I was looking for in a plastic surgeon. She has an impressive medical background and reputation (double board certified), but additionally her artistry and attention to detail gave me confidence in her skills. I liked that she focuses her expertise and specializes only in the neck and face and is not a full-service cosmetic surgeon. She asked me what my facial concerns were, and did not “make suggestions” as other surgeons had done at consultation. Dr Sunder has a great communication-style that combines professionalism and attentive caring. She is warm and really listens; she is patient and never seems to be in a hurry; and she answered all my questions and concerns thoroughly. Dr Sunder called me the night before surgery, held my hand as I went into surgery, and even sent flowers (yes!!) to my home several days after surgery with a personal message of support. I am grateful to Dr Sunder’s entire staff for their expertise, support, and celebrating each step of my process. Jeromine, the Patient Care Coordinator, told me they would give me “full service care”, and that’s exactly what I got! I was helped with insurance and medical issues to streamline the paperwork part, staff met with my husband to orient him to my care needs at home, staff trained me in make-up application to camouflage bruises, etc. Each staff person made me feel like a valued patient and treated me with respect and kindness. I am 3-weeks post surgery and I am so happy that the results are just what I wanted - beautifully natural-looking. Dr Sunder is absolutely The Best. For facial cosmetic services, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I've been going to Dr. Sunder for about four years now. Two sessions a year have me looking and feeling great. She's very gentle, very professional, and individualizes each treatment. Each session included a one-on-one assessment of my character and lifestyle and once she realized I like to keep things natural she was careful never to overdo. I get comments each and every time about how pretty I look but her touch ups are so artfully subtle no one has ever guessed I had help! I've sent several clients to her and can't imagine going to anyone else. She's incredibly professional but so easy to feel comfortable with I can see myself coming back for years.
