It is insulting on multiple levels to visit this "doctor". I went for a cosmetic consult to do my due diligence of getting multiple opinions. The other doctors I previously visited were kind, listened, had clean offices, and while I am sure they wanted my business did not push. However, "Doctor" Sackman immediately starts trashing all other cosmetic practices in the area as soon as he opens his mouth. Mind you, his office is dank and dark and obviously he puts no effort into his appearance, yet he wants me to trust him with mine? He tried to talk me into non-surgical nonsense, I assume because he is not capable of performing modern surgery. It's a joke that anyone would trust this slob with their appearance. It felt like his entire office was a "before" photo. The place is facing apart, as I assume is his business. --- In reply to the business response on 5/24/2023: I was indeed in your office but never gave you my business. You take the unsafe stairs into your office, make a left to see reception, then wait in the cobweb covered waiting room to be taken to a room with a rickety old chair and 1960 era cabinets that are delaminating and clearly cannot be properly sanitized. I have been there, and unless you can give me my time back there is nothing you can do to assist me.

This is a warning: Dr. Sackman may present danger to patients. Im a former patient of this rude, unprofessional, dishonest "doctor" who violates the very basic requirements and duties of medical professional. While in process of filing complaint with state medical Board and contemplating probable malpractice claim against Dr. Sackman the review will be updated at a later date. Thank you. Update on April 8. 2023 after Dr. Sackman reply: In addition to being rude and unprofessional this man is also irratical and a liar who performes medical procedures in dark stingy corner under a flash light. He billed and I paid $800 upfront for RX I did not use. No refund! He never heard of HIPAA procedures and denied patient's access to medical records. To top it off Sackman called the police right after he offered me 50% off my next visit (delusional), and while his receptionist and I were peacefully discussing unrelated topic on my way out. Just like that, he popped up from the dark in the back and said: "Police is on the way"! Jaw dropping behaviour for a doctor (in name only), never heard of anything like that. Needless to say I had to sit there and wait for police to come even though I was late for work. Cops were quiet surprised as well, but I did not see the end of drama b/c I had to leave, Oh and whatever Sackman lied on the phone, TWO (!) police cruisers came to the office. Just staggering! There is something psychologically wrong with this man, and speaking of services there is only one person in the office who's relatevily professional- the girl at the front desk. The other person there is Dr. Sackman. Today this man has the audacity to post another falsehood. Reading other comments here it seems multiple claims for malpractice can be filed. How many former patients did not take the time to comment at all and just moved on and away.

Last I heard Dr Sackman had lost privileges at all the area hospitals so (assuming that is true) then take that with whatever caution you feel is warranted. To me, it would mean he is unable to work with other doctors and cannot appropriately provide complete care. My personal experience with this doctor is quite extensive, and spans ~two decades. At one point I felt he was abrasive but a good medical doctor so worth putting up with his poor manner. However, after he teated me for years for a brain injury only to then abruptly tell me - in writing - that he was unqualified and never should have been treating me ... well, to say I lost all confidence and respect for him is being kind. Luckily, I found a qualified doctor who essentially told me all of Sackman's advice was wrong (and I'm now feeling great, thanks for asking). That Sackman tries to operate a cosmetic practice out of a dingy, smelly, and outdated office (in my opinion, I suppose others may feel differently) should be more than enough warning to steer clear of him for anything non-medically necessary. I personally certainly would not trust him to make aesthetic choices that impact my body given his lack of concern with the appearance of his business. Addition after Dr. Sackman replied: I see he hasn’t changed and still believes if he says it enough he’ll wish it true. The office is in my opinion quite substandard to any other medical, spa, even plumbing supply back office I’ve ever been in. I saw Sackman himself “repairing” loose carpet with a massive exposed bead of caulk, right in front of his reception desk. That’s not someone whose judgement I’d trust cosmetically. As far as “voluntarily” giving up admitting privileges, if you consider this doctor for any reason you might want to give an area hospital a call and educate yourself as to why privileges matter, particularly for a surgeon. Personally, in an area with so many options I will always opt for a doctor that works well with others and who uses modern electronic records, has privileges, and is part of a large network. Personally I’ve been to 5 specialists in the past few months and the integrated care and extensive electronic records and correspondence is worlds above my experience with Sackman and his scribbled notes where he didn’t seem to recall past visits properly.
