Dr. Steven R. Jacobson’s skills as a plastic surgeon became quite apparent while training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. A lifelong Minnesota native, Dr. Jacobson earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota before taking a surgical residency position at Mayo. Even among the best of the best he was an outlier, winning a prestigious Foundation Scholar fellowship to train in Australia under Dr. Bryan Mendelson, the world’s leading authority on facial anatomy.

That’s where Dr. Jacobson mastered minimally invasive facelifts, and the experience inspired him to develop his own natural skills in facial rejuvenation, aesthetic, and reconstructive breast and body surgery. Soon after, Dr. Jacobson accepted a staff position at Mayo where he taught and practiced as a plastic surgeon until 2016. During that time, he has become internationally known for his technique and results.

Dr. Jacobson is Board certified in plastic surgery, and is a past president of the Minnesota Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has served as principal investigator in multiple studies and published articles in leading medical journals including: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, American Journal of Surgery, World Journal of Surgery, The Breast Journal, and Clinics in Plastic Surgery.

I had an abdominoplasty and breast augmentation. The results are astonishing. I wanted to look natural but with larger breasts and a flatter stomach. The end result is so successful that not only does it look natural, but I have been told by others who have seen mine that the scars are much less noticeable than other women who have had an augmentation. I am thrilled with the results.

I had services done here that ended up not looking any different than what I originally had started with . Dr Jacobson told me that it is normal for settling after surgery and after a month and comparing before and after pictures he had agreed. I have pretty nasty scarring that looked more so of a butcher than of a cut . He knew I was upset and I didn’t really feel cared about . He offered to do a redo for free but I would still have additional charges. This was a service I paid 15k for . I had zero positives and a lot of scarring and to be honest I am more self conscious now than I was before the procedure . I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed with how my situation was handled . Because I didn’t feel cared about I didn’t even go back for the redo. Now I have paid a large sum of money and am worse off than I was originally .

From the moment I walked in the door I was met with a warm, inviting environment, a welcoming staff, Dr. Jacobson's kind, caring, compassionate approach, and amazing follow up care and accessibility of staff. Absolutely AMAZING surgeon and person! Great bedside manner. Very sweet, knowledgeable, and personable. His resume is beyond impressive and he was very comforting throughout the whole process. I knew I was in good hands! I could not be happier with my breast augmentation results! I read many reviews of patients calling him an artist and I could not agree more. I have wanted this a long time and after nursing babies it became more necessary. I was terrified for the surgery so scheduled it as soon as I could. I'm not even 2 months out and feel great! Very fast healing and seeing my beautiful results, I cried many happy tears. Exceeded my expectations! I would not go anywhere else or recommend anyone else. One consultation with him and you will know you need to look no further. My whole experience with him, his staff, & the surgery center was wonderful! I experienced no pain the entire time.
