My experience with Mountain Lake plastic surgery was excellent! From the consult all the way through surgery day, I felt respected and taken care of. The office and surgical facility is clean and organized. Every single nurse was attentive to every single need I had pre- and post surgery. You can feel that they work together to make your experience as comfortable as possible. The anesthesiologist was incredible! He communicated well, and made me feel completely at ease. Overall the best experience I’ve ever had in a medical setting. Dr. McLennan is wonderful and I can already tell my expectations were met and exceeded .

The people working here have been extremely welcoming and professional to me at every visit. Doctor Schmidt was wonderful and very genuine at every step while helping me. Everyone of nurses was caring andd very supportive. Jennifer and Alexis at reception were always patient and helpful and informative with all of my questions and scheduling needs. Susan and her team are spectacular. From my consult to the end of my care they have been gone above and beyond to protect my safety and privacy. I spent several years and many hours researching which physician I wanted to go with and I am so glad I landed on Susan MacLennan. Her office is spectacular and I always feel at home when visiting there, which is challenging when dealing with intimate cases like plastics. In a world where everything is rushed and commercialized it is so nice to find a place like Mountain Lake where they make you a friend, not just a patient. I felt every one of my concerns was addressed and taken seriously, every appointment I had was never rushed. The nurses and Dr MacLennan made me feel like I was their only patient. I am truly grateful for Dr MacLennan and her team, giving me a new life!

Dr. Schmidt is amazing! From the moment I walked in the office doors a year and a half ago she was so helpful, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and skillful. She did a great deal of research and connected with peers to consult on my case. When I was diagnosed with Lyme 6 weeks before my procedure, Dr. Schmidt left no stone unturned when it came to ensuring that I would be safe. Dr. Schmidt kept me informed and treated me with respect and dignity through the entire process (as did the staff!). It was clear that she wasn’t there just to collect a paycheck and I always felt empowered to make decisions about my health care because of her approach. This is one of the most important elements of medical care and Dr. Schmidt is at the top of her class. I ended up having a second surgery and she was just as kind and skillful with a frustrating situation. She was invested in me as a person and I so appreciated that. As a woman of color, I was impressed that Dr. Schmidt talked about care for patients with more melanin. She navigated the conversations with grace and professionalism and I deeply appreciate her willingness and capacity to do so. It makes a difference. The staff at both Mountain Lake Plastic Surgery and Green Mountain Surgery Center are outstanding, too. Everyone treated me so well and it felt like I was among friends at every appointment. The use of humor to connect and ease my nerves was appreciated too.

Dr MacLennan did an amazing job on my breast augmentation 5 years ago. I was concave on one side due to a birth defect plus needed help after breastfeeding...
