Dr. Victor Fontana is a board-certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who practices in both New York and New Jersey. Serving as an attending plastic surgeon at Lincoln Medical Center in New York, an internationally known trauma center, Dr. Fontana routinely performs reconstructive surgery of the hand, extremity and breast. In his New Jersey office, Dr. Fontana maintains a private practice focusing on cosmetic as well as reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Fontana holds privileges at several surgery centers in the Monmouth County area and is an assistant attending of plastic surgery at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.

Completing his undergraduate training at the State University of New York at Albany, Dr. Fontana graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the distinguished academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Fontana attended the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey where he received his medical degree and was awarded with the William F. Grupe Foundation Medical Education Scholarship. Dr. Fontana completed training in both general surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York.

Dr. Fontana went above and beyond to help my son with his injury. My son required surgery on his hand and he walked us through every step beforehand. After the surgery he is still walking us through the healing process. His bedside manner is so comforting and made me as a parent feel so secure that I knew my son was in the best hands. Dr. Fontana takes his profession to the heart and really cares about his patients and their well being. I am so grateful to him and the care he provided and still provides for my son. My son feels the same way and is so very grateful for the way Dr. Fontana takes care of him on his road to recovery. Forever will be a fan of Dr. Victor Fontana.

I honestly wish I could rate Dr. Fontana higher than five stars. In august of 2021 my family and I had the worst day of our lives. While enjoying a wonderful day in the pool my 8 year old at the time was bitten by the family dog. Her lip was ripped half off and mangled. Dr. Fontana came to the hospital off hours on a call from one of the nurses. He proceeded to reconstruct my poor daughters lip. I was in disarray. But he continued to talk to me through the 3 hour surgery. I honestly believed my poor baby would be disfigured, and it would be my fault for allowing her to be around the dog. However, Dr Fontana worked a miracle for our family. A year and a half later you can barely tell it happened. In addition he was out of network and worked with us and our insurance till it was resolved. I would recommend him to any one for anything. He is by far the best you can find. Thank you Dr. Fontana you have know idea the miracle you performed that day and the lasting impact you had on our lives. You get 1000 stars from us.

My experience with Dr. Fontana was amazing. Honestly beyond any words or expectations one can have. After many years of back/shoulder pain and a variety of treatments the last option was breast reduction surgery. Dr. Fontana and his staff are exceptional. From my first consultation to my surgery and post op, all my questions/concerns were addressed kindly and professionally. Dr. Fontana took the time out to answer everything myself or my husband had to ask. As anyone who has had to have any kind of surgery it is extremely scary going in, but Dr. Fontana and his staff made me feel comfortable and safe. Dr. Fontana cares very much about all his patients and wants nothing but the best for them. No words can really express how pleased I am with my results. No more back pain. I feel like a new person and able to do so many things I couldn't do before. I highly recommend Dr. Fontana!

I highly recommend Dr. Fontana. My teenage daughter was seen by Dr. Fontana in the ER after experiencing a traumatic laceration to her face. After thoroughly examining her, he spent over an hour meticulously stitching her eyebrow back together. Besides being informative, Dr. Fontana was kind and informal with us. He put my mind at ease. He has done an exceptional job with my daughter's face and her scar is minimal and looks amazing. My daughter is very thankful to have been seen by Dr. Fontana. We could not have asked for a better surgeon!

Dr. Fontana was my mom's surgeon after being admitted from the ER for an infection in one of her breast implants which was from her cancer reconstruction many years ago (not done by Dr. Fontana). Both implants needed to be removed. Dr. Fontana was there for my mom during and post surgery and we felt blessed to have had him as her surgeon. Dr. Fontana's surgical skills are beyond perfection and his bedside manner is caring, kind and gentle.
