Dr. Quatela is recognized as one of the top facial plastic surgeons nationally and internationally by the medical community and patients alike. His dedication to improving people’s lives by using his skill to enhance their appearance and confidence has led him to develop a comprehensive practice that extends beyond traditional facial plastic surgery with Q the Medical Spa and the Quatela Center for Hair Restoration, both located at the Lindsay House.

His long list of professional accomplishments includes serving as the president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and establishing the HUGS (Help Us Give Smiles) Foundation that supports medical missions to underserved countries such as Ecuador, Guatemala, and Vietnam. Dr. Quatela is an Allergan Top 250 provider, placing the Quatela Center as the only practice with this distinction in the Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo areas. This recognition puts him and the Quatela Center in the top 2% of all of Allergan’s practices across the country.

Dr. Quatela completed a residency in Otolaryngology — Head & Neck Surgery at Northwestern University. He also completed two fellowships in facial plastic surgery, and is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery (ABO). Dr. Quatela has emerged as a leader in the field of aesthetic facial surgery. In addition to serving as past president of AAFPRS, Dr. Quatela serves annually as a board examiner for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) certification examinations. He also helps train the next generation of surgeons through an annual fellowship, as well as multiple national and international lectures, and as a clinical associate professor at the University of Rochester in the otolaryngology department.
