Dr. Jody Johnson is a distinguished graduate of the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, having completed his general surgery residency training at Michigan State University. Following his residency, he pursued a one-year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery at the University of Kentucky and earned board certification through the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
As a committed Fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Dr. Johnson has dedicated himself to lifelong learning. His passion for education extends to hundreds of students at various levels, from college and nursing students to surgical technician and medical students. For seven years, he served as the instructor for the general surgery course at the University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine.
With over 20 years of experience in performing complex procedures, including gastrointestinal, cancer, and trauma surgeries, Dr. Johnson's journey led him to transition to cosmetic surgery. Drawn by the desire for a more balanced lifestyle, he found fulfillment in the improved self-confidence and happiness that cosmetic enhancements bring to patients.
In 2021, Dr. Johnson completed a mini-fellowship in Bayonne, New Jersey, at the Pelosi Medical Center, situated across the river from Manhattan. Over the past three years practicing cosmetic surgery in South Louisiana, he has been inspired by the profound impact of cosmetic procedures on patients' lives and their overall satisfaction with outcomes. Driven by a passion to ensure each patient leaves feeling empowered and beautiful, he extends a personal invitation for individuals to engage in a conversation about restoring confidence through cosmetic surgery.
