Dr. Robert J. DeFatta is a ear, nose, and throat and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He earned his medical degree and PhD from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA and completed his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He received his fellowship training in cosmetic surgery of the face and neck with Dr. Edwin Williams at Williams Plastic Surgery Specialists in Latham, NY.

Jan 14, 20253 Surgeries for 3 Different Family Members...All Went Well
In the last two months of 2024, two of my children and myself each had an ENT surgery from Drs. Defatta. It just so happened that the referrals all came from different sources.
Dr. Rima managed the care of my kids. She was very attentive, thoughtful, and kind. She connected with our kids well. Both surgeries resulted in positive outcomes. One of my kids also needed care from audiology; Dr. Nancy was efficient and attentive throughout her work with my child.
Dr. Robert managed my care and operated on me to help me to breathe better. While he has a bit more assertive style than Dr. Rima, I found him to be highly competent and capable. He was very responsive to me when questions arose throughout the process.
What is nice about Defatta ENT is that you are working with the owners of the practice. Thus there is less hoops to jump through to get quality care.
I highly recommend Dr. Robert and Dr. Rima Defatta.

Dec 30, 2024I have not been happy with my experience here at all. They have dragged out a medically necessary surgery date for months using every excuse under the sun. I had to wait 45 minutes one appointment because the doctor apparently forgot I had an appointment and was not there. No one has taken me seriously. They push allergy meds that are doing absolutely nothing. I finally got a tentative surgery date and now only 2 weeks before the date they've pushed it out yet again with no actual date in site. When I asked what is going on and why this is such a battle the receptionist got loud and rude with me on the phone. I'm sick to death of the excuses and the shrugging shoulders about my condition. Scans clearly show the problem and yet they can't seem to pencil me in for a medically necessary surgery in the last nearly 6 months of numerous trips that end in the same answer. Take a different over the counter allergy med and we'll see you in a few weeks for an update. I definitely do not recommend this office.
