Removal of skin tumors on my ear and side of face by Dr Sedgewick. Everyone was so helpful leading to to surgery, at surgery and upon removal of stitches and staples. Looks like recovery is going smoothly.

I made an appointment to see one of the Doctors at this center for my sinus problems, they were full and I had to wait weeks and weeks. I did so patiently and day after day took pain pills to cope with the pain! 4 days before my appointment they called to cancel and offered me an appointment nearly another month later. I was so upset, I really felt like crying, all this time I wasted living with this pain - if you can't honour and appointment, rescheduling a month later is totally unacceptable. Im glad I didnt get to become a patient here as they clearly dont care!!!!!

Staff was very kind, but the reason for my rating was because I came in to help eliminate/reduce my snoring and was recommended nasal surgery. But with each appointment, the NP kept talking about the surgery helping my breathing, which I said I never really noticed an issue breathing through my nose before. I proceeded to get the surgery in hopes that it would reduce my snoring, and I will say that Dr. Sedwick did amazing and the staff at Creekside Surgery Center all took very good care of me. However, at my 1-month post-op appointment, I mentioned that I did notice a slight difference in being able to breathe through my nose a bit better (but again, breathing was never my issue), but it didn't do anything to help with my snoring (which was the primary reason for getting the surgery) only for the NP to reply that the snoring issue was "neither here nor there". I understood from the beginning that it was not 100% guaranteed that it would completely eliminate my snoring, but to get it just for it to make virtually no difference, and then have to pay around $5k and take an entire week off of work for something just to hear that my initial concern was "neither here nor there" is extremely frustrating.

I'm not sure where to put the star rating. I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, which is never an easy choice IMO. Today was disappointing... not so much about...

Staff is horrible, would never return any call or text message given over the course of 1 full month prior to the scheduled procedure. I had just one question. I wanted an estimate of how much my share of the cost for the procedure would be after insurance. Such a simple question. No response despite texts and messages left on three different phones, and also verbally given to the receptionist. Got assurance from the receptionist that I would get a response either later that day or the next day. Nothing. Not even a "we don't know" type answer. The total lack of a response from any staff member raised my eyebrow, and I don't need my eyebrows raised. People shouldn't trust an institution that behaves this way. So, I canceled my appointments. I highly recommend going elsewhere. *************** Updated from 1 star to 2 stars because the accounting department did at least do their job, even if that was only to give me a bill for the initial visit. My cancelation inspired at least that much of a response from the staff, but only after they saw there would be no additional opportunities to charge me. I saw the physician for 7 minutes for the initial consultation, with a trainee in tow. I was blessed with a bill for $465.00. My deductible amount was $40.00, that low mainly because my insurance told them that was all they were allowed to bill me. Unlike what this place did to me, I responded immediately, did my due diligence, and paid the bill the same day I received it. So, if all you care about is getting a medical bill, this is your place for that. If you want customer service for just 1 relevant question prior to a procedure, even when asking for that answer for 1 full month, run far away from this place. You can not count on the staff, no matter how nice and professional you are in your conversations with the receptionist, or in your phone messages and texts to the manager.

There was some miscommunication while transferring my records. I was told that unencrypted emails were acceptable and then later it was explained (right before my appointment) that unencrypted emails are usually deleted and that my records were not received. I rescheduled my appointment but during my visit (which I had waited months for and traveled from Fairbanks to attend), the doctor came in very briefly and only allowed me a few seconds to ask questions before he abruptly left. I was just told that my condition would require two surgical procedures to treat and I was a bit surprised and could not think of what to ask quickly enough. The nurse who I spoke with was friendly and helpful. However, when the nurse left, I wasn’t sure if I was dismissed. I asked some of the staff if I was good to go and they stared at me and looked back at their phones without responding. I am hesitant to receive care at this clinic after this visit, as I would like more support from the medical staff while making a decision to undergo surgery.
