Dr. Hudson Frey is a distinguished double board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Facial Plastics and Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery whose journey to excellence began with a solid educational foundation. This intensive training equipped him with the expertise needed to specialize in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Frey’s multifaceted approach to medicine, blending surgical expertise with a passion for education and service, exemplifies his commitment to improving patient care and advancing the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Hudson Frey is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Facial Plastics and Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. Fellowship-trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, he is deeply committed to patient care, surgical excellence, and giving back — both locally and globally.

Dr. Frey was recently appointed affiliate faculty at Dell Medical School, reflecting his dedication to medical education and his local community. He is actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS), the Texas Association of Otolaryngology, and the South Texas Facial Plastic Society. He was also honored by his alma mater, Mississippi State University, as a Reveille 25 recipient — an award given annually to 25 alumni who exemplify leadership, service, and impact in their communities and professions.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Frey is passionate about global health and humanitarian outreach. He has participated in surgical mission work in Kenya and plans to continue providing care in underserved regions throughout his career. Outside of medicine, Dr. Frey enjoys distance running, group fitness classes, snow skiing, reading, attending live music — especially Austin City Limits shows — and collecting vinyl records.

Medical Education & Training

Dr. Hudson Frey's journey toward becoming a distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon was marked by a robust medical education and comprehensive training. Graduating with distinction, Dr. Frey obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, achieving a remarkable GPA of 4.0 and earning the distinction of Cum Laude.
