Dr. Prock is an extremely educated, and even more highly regarded, plastic surgeon who has a diverse and unique background. 

Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to a mother who was an educator and a father who managed a Luby's cafeteria, Dr. Prock learned the value of hard work from an early age. She became a Texas resident at the age of two when her father’s job took the family to Brownsville, Texas. She enjoyed a childhood surrounded by the rich and diverse culture that defines life in a border town.

A background of scholastic achievement – Dr. Prock

Dr. Prock moved out of state to attend Yale University, where she earned a degree in the history of science and medicine, completing her thesis on the intersection between colonialism and medicine.

She went on to earn her M.D. at Dartmouth Medical School, where she enjoyed her studies amid the stunning New Hampshire landscape. 

Dr. Prock completed her six-year plastic surgery training as a resident in the prestigious UTSW Plastic Surgery program, which has consistently been ranked as the top plastic surgery training program in the country, renowned for its emphasis on aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Prock is engaged to Scott Nelson, who works in the investment side of the oil and gas industry. He has also patented several water filtration devices, which he created in response to the Flint water crisis. The couple met in Dallas through mutual friends and have been inseparable ever since. Together, they have four fur babies who keep them busy: two small and feisty Maltese mixes, Brad and Chad, and two Labradoodles, Bonnie and Clyde. They plan to marry in late July on White Rock Lake, surrounded by close family and friends.
