Profile

Dr. Vial received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California. While in medical school, he completed a three year fellowship in the Hagey Laboratory, studying aging, scarring and stem cell technology. He published extensively in prominent scientific journals, and obtained a US Patent for profiling stem cells. Dr. Vial received numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Peter J. Gingrass award from the Plastic Surgery Research Council.

Dr. Vial completed an integrated residency program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. UPMC is known as a center of innovation and excellence in plastic surgery, and is consistently ranked as one of the top three plastic surgery training programs by US News & World Report. He graduated as Chief Resident, after completing six years of dedicated training in plastic surgery.

Dr. Vial is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties for the practice of plastic surgery of the face and of the body. He also has been elected an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

I couldn’t have asked for a better team during my breast reconstruction process after bilateral mastectomy. Dr. Vial is an amazing surgeon who pays attention to every detail. He makes his patients a priority and always responds to any concerns. Ana Harnish is a brilliant PA with a heart of gold. The office staff always made me feel welcomed and were accommodating to my needs. I can’t say enough good about how wonderful they all are! My final outcome exceeded any expectation I had when I started this journey❣️

I highly recommend Dr. Vial for any of your plastic surgery needs. Dr. Vial is completely dedicated to make you look the best you can possibly look, asking about your goals and offering suggestions you might not have thought of. He is compassionate, congenial, and creative, and will also work within your budget. Dr. Vial is dedicated to his work, seems to really enjoy it, and is an expert at it. My experience has been nothing but positive in all aspects. His staff is pleasant, professional and prompt. I couldn’t ever thank Dr. Vial and his staff enough for taking such good care of me!

Dr. Vial and his staff are AMAZING!! I have had 2 procedures completed thus far, and both surgeries went by seamlessly from beginning to end. Dr. Vial is straightforward, honest, and sets realistic expectations. I visited other plastic surgeons prior to being evaluated by Dr. Vial and I highly appreciated his honesty and approach. In regards to my procedures, I have had a breast reduction and lift in June 2023, and recently had a tummy tuck, liposuction, and fat augmentation to my breasts in July. He is very meticulous in his work, and it definitely shows in the results. I followed his advise and instructions throughout the entire process and all I can say is WOW! I knew he would do a great job, but he far exceeded my expectations!!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Vial and his team for my recent cosmetic procedure. From my very first consultation, I was impressed by the professionalism and care shown by the entire staff. Dr. Vial took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, set realistic expectations, and address all of my questions and concerns.
