Dr. Samuel J. Mucci is one of Michigan’s most sought-after plastic surgeons.

Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Mucci has over 25 years of experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.  His expertise ranges from reconstructive procedures for traumatic injuries, skin cancer, complex wounds, birth defects, and facial fractures to cosmetic services such as body contouring and facial rejuvenation.

His practice is based in Beverly Hills, located in Oakland County about 20 miles northwest of Detroit, Michigan. He performs the surgeries at UnaSource Surgery Center in Troy and William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Dr. Mucci has written numerous articles for scientific journals and has presented research at national and international meetings related to plastic surgery. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy, where he is actively involved in teaching surgical residents and students.

Dr. Mucci is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has completed a general surgical residency at the University of Toledo (formerly the Medical College of Ohio), where he served as chief resident during his senior year.

He completed a plastic surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was chief plastic surgery fellow during his final year. He also completed a craniofacial, maxillofacial and microsurgery fellowship (for face, head and jaw) at the Shock Trauma Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.

In addition to his certifications with the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery, Dr. Mucci is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Michigan State Medical Society, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Oakland County Medical Society.
