Dr. Chase Tobin was raised in Cape Girardeau and developed an interest in plastic surgery at a young age. He valued the variety and complexity of plastic surgery procedures that his father performed. Realizing this was his calling, he set forth.

After graduating high school he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

From there he went on to study at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. He received honors marks on his surgery rotations and his research led to publications in peer reviewed journals and national presentations. He was then elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and went on to match into the competitive residency of plastic & reconstructive surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

He spent 6 years in Milwaukee completing rigorous and comprehensive training in plastic surgery. He received extensive training in hand & wrist surgery and complex reconstruction including replantation, free tissue transfer, peripheral nerve, and degenerative disease of the hand & wrist. He was also fortunate to have excellent aesthetic training in facial aesthetics, breast, and body by talented surgeons. During his residency he was awarded resident teacher of the year in consecutive years and was recognized for the best clinical research.

After finishing his residency he then joined Missouri Plastic & Hand Surgery in August 2021. He is excited to offer tailored, exceptional care to his patients. Dr. Tobin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He performs surgery at Auburn Surgery Center, and serves as Active Staff Surgeon at Saint Francis Medical Center and the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
