From early on in his career, Dr. Capizzi showed an affinity and dedication towards helping others in profound ways. During his studies, he recognized that above all he enjoyed providing breast surgery for women as a way of benefiting them both physically and mentally for years to come. For women facing breast cancer, he spent over two decades performing breast reconstruction and changing the lives of countless individuals for the better. He found that through this service, his patients saw a restored sense of normalcy and improved self-esteem. Cosmetically, breast augmentation offered very similar results for his patients and Dr. Capizzi has since committed his career towards assisting patients of all types in feeling better about themselves in their own skin.
During his training, Dr. Capizzi trained at Mayo Clinic, the world’s most renowned educational institution, known for being on the forefront of medical development and training world-class surgeons. During this time, he completed a general surgery residency followed by a plastic surgery residency. With 7 years of hands-on training and a double-board certification in both general and plastic surgery, he began his work in Charlotte, North Carolina where he founded Capizzi MD Cosmetic Surgery & Med Spa (formerly known as Stillwater Plastic Surgery). Since founding in 2002, he has assisted thousands of patients from all over the world in both reconstructive and cosmetic breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, and more.
