Our founder and medical director—Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin, MD—is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. She’s known for treating a wide spectrum of oculoplastic disorders, including eyelid malpositions, tearing disorders, trauma involving the eyelids, skin cancers of the eyelid, infections, and inflammations. Additionally, she provides a complete range of esthetic services in Chicago, IL, including brow lifts, surgery to correct drooping eyelids, and blepharoplasty (surgery to remove excess eyelid skin).

Dr. Mary earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and attended medical school at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. Between her residency and medical school, she decided to pursue her other passion: cooking. Dr. Mary was fortunate enough to live in southern France for six months, where she learned the art of French cuisine as an apprentice to Julia Childs and Simone Beck. After this incredible internship, Dr. Mary began her ophthalmology residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami—the United States’ #1 eye hospital. Next, she completed her fellowship in San Diego with a specialty in oculoplastic surgery. Today, Dr. Mary also provides clinical instruction to her industry fellows and peers at the Rush University Medical Center. Under her leadership, we look forward to serving Chicago patients for years to come.
