Profile

Dr. Kevin Myers grew up in the small city of Wooster, Ohio. After a stint in the U.S. Army, he returned to Ohio and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from The Ohio State University where he received his degree Summa Cum Laude. Moving from the midwest, and the Big Ten, to the Big Apple and the Ivy League, he went on to graduate from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Myers was then accepted into a highly competitive integrated residency program at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he completed his general and plastic surgery training. Shifting from the right coast to the left, he completed an advanced fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the world-renowned Buncke Clinic at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Having spent plenty of time in large metropolitan areas, Dr. Kevin Myers was looking for a place that felt a little less frenetic to call home when he found Chico. He was impressed by the surroundings and the city, and upon discovering the presence of the university and the attendant vibrancy of the art and music scene in the area, knew this place could work not only for him, but for his partner, Camille (an artist and former ballet and Broadway dancer). Chico had the need and offered the setting to utilize the scope of his training, including microsurgery, in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. The style of care he provides is compassionate and understanding of his patient’s situation and concerns. Every consultation is different therefore he devotes as much time as necessary for individual patient education and addressing questions and concerns in detail. It is important to Dr. Myers to understand the patient’s expectations and motivation, and for the patient to feel confident about their procedure and his abilities and expertise.

I called today because I had my surgery there in 2017 and one of my silicone implants ruptured. I called to get information on the implants I had. I asked the woman who answered the phone if they still had my information and she said “I’m not sure, no” she didn’t even bother to find out and was ready to hang up on me. She also told me “Well the surgeon who did your surgery is no longer practicing so I don’t know”. So I asked her how long do they keep records cause I believe they’re supposed to have it. She puts me on hold and comes back with my information!!!! This facility really needs to train their staff on customer service and support.

Dr. Emily Hartman does phenomenal work! She helped save my life after an extreme surgery to remove necrotizing fasciitis from my chest! I sometimes forget because I have no scaring to notice 4+ years later!

I do not recommend this surgeon, Dr. Emily Hartmann She apparently does not have an aptitude for symmetry, keep her away from your eyes! Very, very...

I am 35 and was going through a lot of hard emotional decisions when I was looking for a plastic surgeon to get a double mastectomy. When I met The staff and nurses at north state I was treated so well and so pleased. After my first appointment meeting Dr. Hartmann I was so comforted and felt like she was very invested in me and my journey. Fast forward now through two surgeries and many many office visits and I am beyond thankful I chose her as my doctor. She is so professional and her knowledge, compassion, confidence and humility exceeds any doctor I have ever met or could of ever dreamed of. I would choose her as my doctor a million times over if I had to make that choice again.

The front office staff are so friendly and welcoming, the waiting area is comfortable and beautiful! They have water and tea and coffee. The support staff are considerate and get to know you - so it all feels very personal. My surgeon has been very attentive and was thorough in explaining options. I'm quite happy to have had this group on my Cancer Fighting Team.

Dr. Emily Hartman performed my surgery. I had a lipoma removed on the anterior side of my body on the shoulder/chest area. She did an amazing job! The scar is small and has been healing well- it was been 2 months since my surgery. She is such a genuinely kind and caring person. She always gives me hugs which is so sweet of her. She let me text her after my surgery in case I had any questions and boy did I have a lot (I'm a worry wart). She replied quickly every time and answered my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Hartman.
