Dr. Smith and her staff have been very professional and caring. I had a medically necessary procedure. Dr. Smith did a fantastic job with my reconstruction. I have a tattoo in the area and she did such a great job that the tattoo still looks complete. She and her staff answered all of my questions in person and via MyChart, before and after my surgery. She also worked with my other doctors to ensure my procedure wouldn't interfere or negatively interact with my medications. I would absolutely recommend her!

I unfortunately did not have a good consultation experience with Dr. Smith and her staff. Prior to the consultation I had attempted to call her office a few times during regular business hours to ask some questions and they never answered. They did get back to me within a 1-2 business days each time with voicemail but were unable to answer my questions that other plastic surgery offices were able to answer. Not a huge deal, but a bit frustrating as they could not even tell me her consultation fee. The fee ended up being 315$ which is considerably higher than what I have found to be the norm, my insurance covered a little over half. When it came to the day of my appointment Dr. Smith was a little over an hour late to see me and neither the front desk or the nursing staff bothered to let me know she was running behind the entire time. Once I was seen, I felt rushed. I have no doubt she’s an incredible surgeon but the communication from her office simply wasn’t there at any point. I then read my after visit summery and there were some inconsistencies on my chart, nothing huge but it mentioned that we went over things that were unfortunately never discussed. Also, there were time inconsistencies, she was in and out in about 20 mins but my chart said 30 mins. I debated going through with it anyways as she’s the only qualified female plastic surgeon who accepts insurance I was able to find in the area and my concerns have nothing to do with her surgical capabilities, I'm sure she’s wonderful. I simply wasn’t made to feel comfortable or valued as a patient and left overall disappointed as I have been researching breast reduction for about 2 years and waiting for the appointment for over a month. I left with little more information then I walked in with but with a lot of extra concern about if I would be able to get into contact with my Dr. post surgery if I needed to.
