Profile

Dr. Paul Pierce M.D. is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with a private practice in Colorado Springs that focuses on breast and body cosmetic procedures and breast reconstruction.

Since his youth, Dr. Pierce has had a strong interest in art. From drawing and painting to origami and woodworking, he has tried his hand at anything that allows him to be creative. He has painted canvases that now adorn the walls of his home and built a playhouse and climbing wall with a backdrop that mirrors Pikes Peak for his three kids. While studying in high school and college, he was also drawn to the sciences.  Learning how nature and the human body worked was fascinating. Eventually, these two interests collided in the field of plastic surgery. The origin of the term plastic comes from the Greek work plastikos, which means to “form” or “mold.” It is not uncommon to hear Dr. Pierce refer to plastic surgery as the perfect blend of art and science.

Dr. Pierce graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He then attended The University of Texas Medical School at Houston and graduated in 2007 with the added prestige of Alpha Omega Alpha membership and The Hitoshi C. Nikaidoh MD Award for Humanism in Medicine. Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society is the only national medical honor society. Members are selected on the basis of academic achievement, public and school service accomplishments, and demonstrated professionalism. The Hitoshi C. Nikaidoh Award was established in memory of Hitoshi C. Nikaidoh, who tragically died in an accident in August 2003, two months after beginning his residency training.  Dr. Nikaidoh was known for his exemplary interpersonal skills, ever-present smile, and caring, giving nature toward patients, colleagues, and everyone he encountered.  This award honors those qualities in a graduating medical student selected by the faculty.

I met with Dr. Pierce yesterday (June 11, 2025). His staff was absolutely kind and sweet! Dr. Pierce, I thought, was being very honest and helpful until I found out he lied to me the entire time. I went to Dr. Pierce because I was having ripping in my Gummy Bear implants that I have had for eight years. I am 5'7 and 119 pounds. I am built small and Dr. Pierce said that he never would have put 605 cc DD implants in me and because of that was causing the ripping. He said that I needed to take out my implants and go without implants for 3 to 4 months. I needed to "let my body heal" and then do a SECOND SURGERY... (Very unnecessary) and he would put in 250cc-350cc MAX B cup... And that would be under the muscle. I said that size I would be very unhappy with because I was a natural C before I got my implants. He was surprised that I was a natural C and began telling me that I no longer had any natural breast tissue left! Just so everyone knows that’s medically impossible! Dr. Pierce said several times I no longer have any of my natural breast tissue left, I need to have two surgeries to fix a rippling problem, that he could see my implants through my skin (I'm light skinned but NO you cannot) and the only way to fix my problem was to go all the way down to almost an A cup or barely B cup! Not only did I leave there with anxiety and thinking that I had made the biggest mistake of my life when I got my implants the first time, but I kept thinking my body was never going to be the same after seeing him. Since then I was able to reach out to two surgeons in Newport, California and another one in Los Angeles. They both assured me that I do have my natural breast tissue. Both have came up with plans for my body size and I am seeing both of them next week. Moral of the story, get a second opinion... especially if the doctor tells you that he PREFERS you a certain way over what you were naturally.

Dr. Pierce changed my life. He fixed a previous work from a different doctor and the results are stunning! I’m very satisfied and have been telling female friends and husbands asking for their wives about the procedure. I didn’t need to go to other states because a doctor as precise and detail-oriented as Dr. Pierce is right around home. I also love that he supports a cause dear to my heart, which is breast cancer. One other important thing is his team of supportive and wonderful medical assistants, especially Sarvine. She’s very competent, knowledgeable, personable, and exudes confidence. She made me feel comfortable in my before and after visits.
