Jeffrey E. Janis, M.D. is full-time faculty as a Professor and Executive Vice Chairman in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is also Chief of Plastic Surgery at University Hospital and holds adjunct appointments as a Professor of Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Surgery.  He is the Co-Director of the Comprehensive Hernia Center at The Ohio State University.  He operates at Ohio State University Medical Center, Ohio State University East, the James Comprehensive Cancer Center, Gowdy Outpatient Surgery Center, Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, Riverside Memorial Hospital, Grant Medical Center, and Knightsbridge Surgery Center.

After his residency training, Dr. Janis was invited to join the faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he remained for 9 years from 2003-2013. While in Dallas, he was appointed to the level of Associate Professor and Program Director for the largest plastic surgery residency training program in the country, and also served as Chief of Plastic Surgery for Parkland Hospital as well as Co-Director of the Wound Healing Fellowship. In 2013, he was recruited to join the Ohio State University Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as a Professor and Executive Vice Chairman.
