Doctor Marcelo Ghersi grew up in South Florida, where he attended high school and college. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree and Magna Cum Laude Honors. He attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he obtained his medical doctorate degree. Dr. Ghersi later returned to South Florida to pursue post-graduate training. After working as a general surgery resident at Mount Sinai Medical Center, he joined the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, where he successfully completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency program.

Doctor Ghersi is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the leading accrediting body for plastic surgeons in the United States. He is an active member of several professional organizations and currently holds active medical licenses in the states of Florida and New York. In addition to his academic teaching appointments, he has active privileges at some of South Florida and New York’s most reputable hospitals. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented his works at major plastic surgery national meetings.

A talented surgeon, Dr. Ghersi is well known for his natural and beautiful surgical results, as well as his caring personality. A co-founder of a prestigious plastic surgery group practice in Coral Gables, Florida, Dr. Ghersi works at a state of the art facility with an outstanding and extensive clinical staff.
