Dr. Pestana graduated from medical school at the University of Cartagena, Colombia in January of 1969. After completing a year of general practice in rural Colombia, Dr. Pestana completed her internship in Pediatrics at Berkshire Medical Center in Massachusetts, in affiliation with Albany Medical College, in 1971. She completed the remainder of her three-year residency in Pediatrics at Bridgeport Hospital, affiliated with Yale-New Haven School of Medicine, in Connecticut. Dr. Pestana was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. After completing her residency, Dr. Pestana served as attending physician in the Pediatric Outpatient Department of Bridgeport Hospital, providing health care to underserved populations.

Dr. Pestana has been practicing private pediatrics in the office setting for over 25 years. Also during this time, she practiced hospitalist medicine for many years at Coral Springs Medical Center. She is now dedicating her clinical time to office pediatrics.

Dr. Elsa S. Pestana is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She maintains hospital admission privileges at Coral Springs Medical Center.

I had a fantastic experience with both Dr. Ivo and Dr. Christine Pestana. Dr. Ivo's skill as a surgeon is exceptional—he gave me beautiful, natural results while relieving the physical pain I’d lived with for years. Dr. Christine was kind, informative, and attentive from beginning to end. The combination of their care and professionalism made this one of the best decisions of my life. I finally feel confident, comfortable, and free from the discomfort I’d struggled with for so long. Highly recommend this team if you're considering a breast surgery!

I have never written a review like this in my life but this is affecting my personal health and well being. If there was any way to leave 0 stars I would, the way I have experienced complete ignorance is completely unacceptable. I went to this office one single time and was terminated as a patient. Something many practicing physicians in healthcare have never heard of in there decades of practice. Apparently it is not “my discretion to be notified of why I was terminated as a patient”. They leave me not knowing if my health is in jeopardy or what the reason would be. It is definitely not billing because I have paid my balance in full and currently owe $0. Then I proceed to call the office staff to make an appointment (they have not been thorough thus far so I thought I would give it a try). I made the appointment, then they wait until I show up in person to the appointment to tell me the same line “I am terminated as a patient and it is not my discretion to be notified why.” Wow it is like everyone in this office was trained to say the same thing. When asked if the doctor would at least speak to me about my health during my appointment time, I was told “no”. This office, Tatiana Pestana and her staff are very disrespectful and unprofessional. It is concerning I hope this is not common practice of Dr. Tatiana Pestana and her office. This shows a complete disregard for any standard of care.

The appointment date and time were changed twice, and the front desk girl entered my email incorrectly, causing a delay in receiving the necessary paperwork. Even after submitting the paperwork online, the office couldn't locate it and requested that I fill it out again at the time of the appointment. While in the process of doing so, I was informed that the doctor couldn't see me due to the paperwork not being completed in time, and I was asked to reschedule. Based on this experience, I do not feel comfortable recommending this place as it did not give off a attentive atmosphere.

When my company insurance changed provider my primary care doctor was no longer in the network. I was devastated and needed to find a new Primary Care doctor! Then, my husband recommended Doctor Pestana, who he has been seeing for four years. I cannot say enough about Doctor Pestana. I am grateful for her. She cares about her patients, is calm and gentle, listens to me when I am talking and never rushes through an appointment, helps by sending our prescriptions ahead of time to the specialist, takes her time to explain test results, diagnosis, and procedures, send reminders when my next yearly visit is due. And even after visits she or her office assistants follow up with patients, when needed, to see how they are doing. Her keen attention to her patients saved my husband’s life when she recommended my husband, and I do a colonoscopy screening. My husband, after doing the test, found out he had colon cancer, small mass. He has since had the surgery and is at home fully recovered. All thanks to Doctor Pestana for caring about her patients. Everyone whom I have encountered at Doctor Pestana’s office has been nothing but great to us with excellent service. And I am forever grateful for her devotion and kind heart for her patients. I highly recommend Pestana & Pestana office for primary care.

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT go to this Dr. The office staff is extremely rude and not helpful. I've had problems with them since my first visit last year. Took them 6 months to process my claim, in which they were not to charge me for the visit because it was my annual. I requested my own bloodwork from them and they were extremely hesitant to give me a copy, and now I was billed for preventative care because the dr chose to take 15 minutes instead of 5 minutes with me. Which dr sees any patient for 5 minutes??? Isn't it normal to go over history and the process of what you are about to do to me??? These people are absolutely unprofessional and lack common sense. They do not deserve any insurance or out of pocket money from anyone! I've been twice and I've had horrible issues with both visits. Please find another dr. Do not waste your time or money!!!
