Patrick BlatchfordDr

Patrick Blatchford, MD, FACS, is board-certified and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Blatchford was born and raised in Arkansas City. He completed his undergraduate education at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, and molecular biology. He then graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He trained and completed his surgical residency at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, during which he received various awards, including Outstanding Instructor of Medical Students, the Bruce Baird Award for research in trauma and critical care, and the Gold Foundation’s Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. After residency, Dr. Blatchford returned to his hometown to practice surgery at South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City.

During this time, he received multiple awards for Preceptor of the Year from Wichita State University in Kansas. He served as the South Central Kansas Regional Trauma Committee chairman for two years and is the current medical director for Arkansas City Fire and EMS. In 2021, Dr. Blatchford and his beautiful wife, Crystal, founded Chestnut Wellness and Blatchford Aesthetics. He is currently an associate professor at the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Wichita. Outside the practice, Dr. Blatchford enjoys spending quality time with his wonderful wife and five kids, fishing, camping, boating, and hunting. He is also an avid music lover and enjoys playing drums, piano, and guitar.
